We are an outstanding customer service organization that happens to be in the web services business.
ZENso Media Portfolio
We are a fairly new design company so we decided that there was no better way to start off a good portfolio then with our own web site.
ZENso Media’s web site is designed to be 100% W3C compliant, using XHTML and CSS to separate content from formatting. This allows complete site redesign without having to modify site content. This design philosophy also lends itself to using technologies like C.M.S (content management systems).
We used the ZENso Media design process along with technology management process theory to help develop our web site construction processes. For many designers their first instinct is to develop a look for your site, and then plug your content into their look. But is this really the way a web site should be built? We don’t think so.
What we discovered was once we had completely written the content for our web site the design process became much easier. That is why the first phase in our design process is entitled “You Message”. A good designer bases their design around the thrust of the message not a cool design they may have floating around in their head they would like to see on the Internet.
After our content was clearly defined, our next decision was "what interactivity do we want our web site to have?" We felt that our web site should be viewable by as many people as possible, while still being accessible to those who may have visual impairments.
All though a table-based design would have been much easier to implement, people with visual impairments have a very difficult time receiving the message as they use software that literally reads the page to them.
(warning these are large files)
Imagine if you where listening to a web page and it sounded like: table.wav
Compare that to the sound of this: css.wav
You can hear a clear difference in the two methods.
